Responsibilities
As an Operations Lead at Velocity, you will play a critical role in our organization with both operational and communications responsibilities. We are looking for a scrappy, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual who is eager to grow into a potential COO or Marketing Director role as the company evolves. You will interface with external stakeholders, including parachain teams, Parity, the Web3 Foundation, and members of the Polkadot community.
Your diverse set of responsibilities will include:
- Managing administrative tasks, such as onboarding new employees and handling other operational aspects commonly found in startups.
- Overseeing Velocity's communication channels, including Medium, Twitter, and Polkassembly.
- Assisting in editing and posting content that highlights Velocity's achievements and progress.
- Collaborating with our CEO on the operational aspects of the DeFi Infrastructure & Tooling Bounty, including application management, interview coordination, builder follow-ups, and milestone payment organization.
- Coordinating with Polkadot marketing teams to announce new infrastructure integrations that Velocity has introduced to the ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience working in operations for an early-stage startup, with a track record of handling administrative and operational tasks.
- A strong interest in entering the cryptocurrency space, with a willingness to learn about blockchain technology and the Polkadot ecosystem.
- Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to approach challenges proactively.
- Exceptional communication skills and the capability to be outward-facing, interacting with external stakeholders.
- Eagerness to adapt, learn, and take on new responsibilities as the company evolves.
